What my clients say about me...

Hannah

Ashley is the first PT that I have actually stuck with for longer than a few sessions.

I'm not the fittest of people and get quite embarrassed easily when it comes to exercise. Ashley has a great way of helping me to feel challenged and yet supported. Every session is new and different and the time seems to fly, always with a chat and some giggles as well. And the great news is I feel better and am more toned from the work-outs we do. I have been training with Ash for over 6 months now and do two group training sessions per week.

His sessions are varied and always fun involving cardio, weight training and boxing which I love. Ash is a great guy, motivating, knowledgeable and professional. I never thought I would find exercising enjoyable and always look forward to the sessions. I may have reached my goal weight a few months ago, but I will continue to train with Ash and would highly recommend him as a trainer. (August 2010)

Janette & Cameron

Like everyone, Cameron and I lead busy lives and not being very motivated regarding exercise it was often left off our 'to do list'.

We decided to do something about it and spoke to a few personal trainers. Ashley made our decision easy - he is down to earth, approachable and listens to 'what we want to achieve'. Ashley has also been very accommodating working around our availability – e.g. work rosters. We catch up once a week for 45 minutes and even though our training is intense it's reassuring to know that we are using the correct techniques and getting results. We would highly recommend Ashley as a personal trainer – he is technically astute, professional and friendly. (July 2010)

Outdoor Personal Training - Strength Training‎

First thing that made me choose Ash as my personal trainer was his down to earth friendly nature. He is so easy to get along with and has a smile on his face non-stop. Although being a nice guy, Ash pushes and motivates you in training which pretty much guarantees you results. This is my forth week doing strength training at kangaroo point with him and I'm actually looking forward to next week. I didn't think it would be possible to make me look forward to training...but he did it..cheers buddy. (Feb 2010)

Corporate Group Training - Fantastic PT sessions from Ash‎

The QMG team get punished by Ash once a week - but we love it and keep coming back for more! Ash always surprises us with fun yet intense and effective group training. One week he has us racing up and down Kangaroo Point stairs while the next we are playing games of tunnel ball, bull rush and duck duck goose! No matter what though, it always wears us out and we feel great the next day. I would highly recommend him not only for other corporate or social groups, but even for one on one sessions. Member of the Month - Goodlife Health Clubs (Wintergarden Brisbane)

I joined Goodlife in November 2008 and commenced personal training with Ashley Dapiran twice a week mainly on weights.

My reason for starting the program was that my kidneys began to malfunction by not retaining blood protein and instead discharging it to urine. The lost blood protein was replaced by the liver which took protein from muscles to make new blood protein and thereby continually reduced my muscle mass. It got to the stage where walking up stairs became difficult and weight training was suggested by my doctor as a possible way to counter the loss of muscle mass. He also advised that the best I could expect was to stop the loss of muscle mass and any increase in muscle mass would be a big bonus.

After six months of weight training with Ashley I have achieved a significant increase in muscle mass and strength in both my upper body and legs which were the main target of the liver. The program I have been using has been very effective in improving my general fitness and has caused no other problems. (March 2009)

I started training with Ashley in November 2008. I've never been a gym member before because I felt a bit overwhelmed by the whole gym experience and arrogant culture attached to it. But Ashley made me feel right at home. My training goals were to increase my strength and fitness. Before joining Goodlife I've never done weight training in my life. Now with Ashley's guidance I'm proficient in all aspects of resistance training. Now I am able to lift twice as much since starting the programme. I continue to improve and I am very happy with my results. I finally can keep up with my grand children. (October 2009)

Giselle was trained by Ashley in the 12 weeks challenge in 2008 and lost 5.5kg and 10cm of the waist. She continued her weight loss training with Ashley after that.

Weight + Cardio exercise

I first met Ashley feeling a little heavy and unfit, and needed to be in shape. This was October 2008. Our initial training consisted mainly of light weight training and some cardio. I had never been accustomed to using weights twice a week. Over a period of 10 sessions, our sessions became more consistent, I could feel that my body was changing its shape; I was building strength, and losing weight. I had gained some technique and weight management knowledge from him, and decided to train on my own, for a couple of months; this was in January 2009.

In March this year, I approached Ashley again for further training sessions with him, as I have plateau-ed in my training regime, and was not as motivated anymore. We met once a week, the sessions he planned were - as I think to believe - to build up my muscle endurance, encourage me to go further in my cardio exercises, and to continue to lose weight. He further equipped me with knowledge in understanding the reasons for various exercises and some of the techniques I could use to enhance a particular muscle in which I wish to build.

All in all, Ashley is an excellent trainer with knowlegable skills, both in his technique of the subject, and also in people's skills. He is professional with his clients, and treats me with respect and dignity. I have no doubt in asking him questions on weight managment - without feeling judged or spoken down to - and/or even having a chat with him. (October 2009) Thank you for your patience and hard work.

Outdoor Training at Kangaroo Point

Ashley helped me to live a more active and healthy life. I changed my diet and eating habits and soon noticed great results from that. Ashley came up with some exercise I actually enjoy doing. By doing at least a little bit I can see great results from week to week.
I focused on light weight training with high repetitions to increase muscle tone. In addition to that Ash got me into the Kangaroo Point stairs. Now I walk to work and back home and on my way I do a couple of stairs... You're a nice and fun guy! Thanks Ash! (December 2008)
